We had a wonderful New Year's Eve at De Slock! We were warmly welcomed with champagne and oliebollen. Dutch records played all night long. The bar staff are very friendly. Unfortunately we were unable to attend the countdown, as the café did not open until after New Year's Eve. Good to know: in Den Burg there are no bars open during New Year's Eve where you can countdown.

We ended up in Den Burg with a school class from Rotterdam and wanted to watch the Feyenoord match. However, the match started at 2:00 PM while the café only opens at 4:00 PM. We called the owner and he decided to open the store earlier for …

We were seated a little earlier than it opened. But then it was no problem. We received a super nice and warm welcome. We had a nice time playing billiards. We could definitely go back.
